Principal Message
Dear Fairview Community,
Welcome back to another fantastic school year! It has been fantastic to see the enthusiasm and energy that our students have brought with them so far this year. Seeing so many smiling faces at drop off and pick up is really heart-warming.
We have had a real showing from our students of our school's ‘STAR’ values — Safety, Teamwork, Achievement, and Respect. These values are not just words on paper; they're guiding principles that shape our school culture and inspire our students to be the best versions of themselves.
This year, we are placing a strong emphasis on further enhancing the reading skills of all our students. Alongside this, we are committed to improving attendance by focussing on the wellbeing of our students and fostering strong relationships between home and school.
In the upcoming weeks, we have some exciting events lined up. School Photos are taking place on the 19 February, our Prep to Grade 6 Athletics Carnival will take place on March (with our Kindergarten students having their own event later in the year). Look out for a specific letter regarding this event, which will provide all the necessary details.
I want to extend a gentle reminder to ensure that validation forms and permission slips are submitted to the school.
We also need to be really mindful of safety on our roads around school and including our carpark. It is a shared responsibility to keep all of our students safe and driving or parking in a safe and sensible manner greatly assists with this.
Stay informed about our school's happenings by following us on Facebook and checking Schoolzine regularly. These platforms will keep you updated on celebrations of learning, upcoming events, and important reminders throughout the year.
Together, with your support and collaboration, I am confident that we will make this year another successful one for our students.
Warm regards,
David Webster
